We just got another of JZ’s books ready to publish. It’s called Valencia. It’s another seeder book. You can read the post about Seeders if you want to know what they are about.
This book is about a girl named Eero Ialda, who happens to be a telepath. If she was the only one, that would have been OK. She could have conquered the world (bwah-hah-hah-hah), and that would have been it. Unfortunately, most of the people on her planet are also telepathic, having been born with connections to the planet-wide singularity Memory, a dimensional pocket computer memory filled with all the bits and pieces of people’s personalities, saved there over the centuries. And their brains are programmable. That means they’re made to accept input from the Memory and start acting on it.
Imagine, if you will, a mind-linked computer dominated by people’s worst impulses: Domination, violence, prejudice, war. Yeah, it’s all there.
