Queen here. And thank you to the King for taking over duties last time.
Never let it be said our Village lacks proper amenities. This is our bath house and wash house, where we get clean and wash our clothes. As you can see, we have everything we need, including two bathtubs, soap, lamps if it gets dark before we’re done singing La Boheme’s final aria, and all the towels you’d want. We have double wash tubs, one for scrub and once for Rinse. Never let it be said that our town is not up to date on the latest conveniences. And let me tell you, it was all needed, after I was forced to take a tour of the underside of the table this last week. It took half an hour, most of a bottle of bath salts and a good long scrub to get all the dust off, to say nothing of the cat slobber. I do not recommend the trip, though it was interesting. I found myself among the golf balls, marbles, lost cat toys and the other detritus that collects along the mopboards. It gave me time to think, between calling up to the King that I was OK. What I thought was: Why does everyone else in the village have a house, but the King and Queen have to hang around the throne room all day? I mean, we have a family, too. The older kids are all in the city guard, including our daughter, and sleep in the barracks at the top of the castle, but the younger kids have been either in the drawer or hanging out in the library all this time. I shall have to figure out a way to bring this up to our holder. Several times, since she’s so absent minded she didn’t notice I was missing from the throne room for five days.
But all is well, now. We’re back in our thrones, and ready to deal with the Raccoon problem in town. And here are the rest of the pictures of the Bath house.
